Ok, I am late to get this going, but late is better than never. I have a little treat for you. I have 2 tiny fabric packs for you. Good Fortune and Salt Air. I would have had A stitch in Color, but I have already added it to a quilt in progress.
Good Fortune is full of wonderful Blues and Greens and Purples and a delightful peach color.
I REALLY like Salt air too. I got to meet Julie at quilt market and she is a really amazing lady. I want to quilt for her. Salt air is full of blues, greens and the perfect sunset shade. Both of these little packs can be yours. I will pick a winner on Sunday afternoon and mail them out on Monday.
All you have to do is let me know what you would do with these tiny squares.

I am so waiting for Salt Air to release, I just love the colors in it. I think I would incorperate the fabric in some way in a # of totes I will be making for the women in my family for Christmas, of course they may get IOU's for Christmas and their totes in June.

ReplyDeleteIf I won they'd be made into pillow covers as my sofa is in desperate need of some jazzing up. I'd hand quilt on them using perle. Otherwise I'd probably just go for a simple squares design to show off the fabric.
ReplyDeleteI would sew them into 4 patches with white with a straight set so the colors travel diagonally on the quilt. :)

ReplyDeletethanks for a chance, Tia...I love these little 2.5 inch squares...so much fun to add into little projects here and there, but mostly, i love having them like a Kona color card...then i know the colors/prints etc...with no decent LQS, sometimes ordering on line is like Russian roulette!!

ReplyDeleteooh.... they're pretty!! i'd use them for either postage stamp-type quilt blocks or for hexagon work. or maybe the centers for little stars that have solid colored points that coordinate.

ReplyDeleteWhat would I do...what would I do?? Most likely I'd start with the idea for a table runner, then figure out how to use both with what I have (or can buy) to make a toddler/lap quilt instead, then most likely end up with a huge throw with all of the fun fabrics I found (or bought hehe) to go with them :D Yes, I'm an A.D.D. quilter lol! The possibilities are endless!

ReplyDeleteI think I'd make a table topper from the Good Fortune .. it would go perfectly in my sewing room and I have just the perfect spot for a small topper! And I'd add some other fabrics with the Salt Air charms and make a small wall hanging for my laundry room-- those colors would help make a boring job much for cheerful! :-)

ReplyDeleteCircumstances have meant I have lots of time to sit and hand sew. Things like postage stamp quilts and other scrappy quilting ideas have provided a fascinating diversion for me and I am enjoying trying my hand at making pincushions, and other small projects from tiny pieces of multiprint and coloured fabric..it is quite a consuming occupation helping the hours to pass quite quickly and there is something lovely to show for the time. I would be grateful for any instruction and guidance that Kathleen's unique looking book might provide.
ReplyDeleteI have been hoping to have some of either the Cosmo Salt or the Kate Spain fabric ever since I saw them at the latest "Market", they are both interesting colour schemes and patterns. They would be lovely to include in my postage stamp hand work..I would be very grateful to have use of them in particular. (could this comment be included instead of the previous one which was actually for the next giveaway... silly me!)
ReplyDeleteOh my, I'm not quite sure what I would make with them! I'd have to sit and pet them and drool over them a bit first. Some ideas that come to mind though are notepad holders, some little pouches, borders for embroidered blocks and totes. The possibilities are endless with these little cuties!
