Thank you all for your kind sympathy. The memorial service was held today and it was very nice.
I have written over and over a big long blog entry about life and death and loss, and ice has fallen from the sky to cover the skylight above my head. There is about 8 inches of frozen hard packed ice outside on the ground, and I sincerely doubt that my mom and I will be leaving the house tomorrow. Here is my thought for the evening....curl up with someone or something (lover, child, friend, pet or maybe just a really good book) you love. Draw strength from one another and be a better human tomorrow. Our lives are so brief and there is so much greatness to be done.
For myself I have my moms kitten snoring in my bed and a book my dad just finished. I hope your day tomorrow is wonderful.
Yours,
Tia

I totally thought you meant you were reading a book your dad just finished writing. Then I actually clicked on the link. I am a dork.
Your family is in my prayers. I hope you have a safe and happy New Year!
Thanks so much ladies! My aunt had a sleep over with us last night and it was very fun. My mom, older sister, aunt and I rang in the new year together. I have a bit of an aching head this morning...but oh well, we had a good time last night.
My dad could totally write a book! It would be awesome. I think he has been kicking one around for a while.
