Mom and I arrived safely to Elk Rapids. It is so very beautiful here. We had quite an adventure. Note to everyone traveling to a quilt retreat by plane. Just because your sewing machine falls well within the size criteria, that does not mean you will be able to fly with it. I am fine with plane side valet and all that for the wee little puddle jumpers, but the Dallas to Chicago leg on a MUCH bigger jet they snatched my Bernina baby away from me a tossed her down a water slide. Bertha was very happy to see me again in Traverse City. She is mostly in good shape. Kinda bent up on the thread guides, but thank goodness for my SOG tool.
Also, if you have only 30 minutes to make a connection....don't stop and go to the bathroom. I am just saying....
I can't wait to soak in the knowledge I am sure Gwen will radiate tomorrow. Maybe I can take some pictures....
I a bushed. To bed with me.
xo,
Tia
