Army Widow Project

I want to welcome the ladies from Army Widow Project (AWP) to my little blog. I have emailed with 8 of you today. Good to hear from you and thank you for your interest in my bags and quilts. For those of you not familiar with the AWP, it is a great community for widows of men killed in Iraq and Afghanistan to meet and support one another. I have explored around a bit, but I will be honest with you, I typically am crying so hard I have to leave it. Your position could have been mine on so many occasions. You and your families are in my prayers.

See that sky above? It is so pretty and blue. The weather here is HOT and HUMID (110 with about 20% humidity). Gross. For the most part we do not sweat here. Yes it is so hot, but it is so dry it just evaporates off our skin. With the humidity the sweat is so very much more noticeable. It is good for the pores, so I am trying to look on the bright side. Well, I need to take my kids and the friends to school. Tia's taxi service is at the ready. I will be cutting a bunch of uniforms today, good times.
