Hello Tia Tote!

Hi y'all! So, what do you think of my new "Tia Tote"? I have had this puppy percolating away in my mind since our trip and finally put 2 together. They are great BIG tote bags secured with 2 magnetic snaps. I love them so much I named them after me. I love the interior pockets, I love the sorta short straps, I love how they conform to the body, I love how they can hold tons of things...just an all around great bag. They are not so IN YOUR FACE ARMY!!!! But they are a little bit army. I used the cargo pockets of the pants to make them. They are of course quilted and man do these guys sew up quick! Well, they would be more quick if I didn't quilt them like crazy. Any way the red one will be in the shop when I get around to stocking it.

Once again the pictures are out of order...to celebrate my new design I am going to give away this guy. Do you remember him? Oh I loved him so much...so much I decided to keep him since no one could love him the way I could. Well....in actuality he is sitting in my studio feeling sorry for himself since the strap is too long to be comfortable for me. I do also have a really cool Tia tote to carry around too...oh and I am not much of a messenger gal. Here is the link to the busy tree messenger on my Flickr Gallery, so go there and click around to see how awesome this bag is. So leave a comment...or as many as you like and I will pick the lucky winner on Saturday (4 OCTOBER). Let's make the comments bag related, so What is your favorite STYLE bag? This will make a great Christmas present too for those of you who are giving. The winner will just have to pay shipping (about $5). Too easy!

Here is an inside shot of the Tia Tote. Gosh I love it!

Have a great day and good luck on the Busy Tree Messenger!

Tia, Even though I'm an avid reader of your blog, I've never been brave enough to venture forth and comment... but I couldn't resist trying for such a gorgeous bag giveaway! I have to say, I love a huge tote bag that you can stuff with anything and everything you might need. My Stu is a diaper bag, a purse, and a school bag for work. I love a bag that's big enough for multi-uses. I need one that's big enough for lots of purposes because I could never be organized enough to juggle two or three diffrent bags!

Well let's see I wrote a big thing already and it didn't leave the comment, darn darn darn, oh well try again lol.

This is what I would do if I won this bag. First of course show it off. Second you should really sell these if you aren't already. And here's why I'd love to win this bag: I am always crocheting something. And with Christmas around the corner I have been carring my cotton around and making washcloths for my twins. I have a bag that I carry everywhere with me. I take it with me in the car, while walking to pick up my kids (yes I crochet and walk), while standing out talking to the other ladies who are picking up their kids, to the amusement parks (we just went this past weekend), to girlscout meetings, everywhere litterally. The only problem is my bag has a rounded bottom and is a pain in the buttox, it falls over and has flowers on the outside so that when crocheting and pulling yarn out it gets caught on the flowers, drives me nuts. Everyone is always saying what a nice bag and than I explain all of it's faults lol. Your bag on the other hand has a squared off bottom and will sit up right in the middle of the seats of my van, so that when I am parked or at a stand still I can just reach down and grab my stitching and go. Your bag also has the long strap which means I can carry it over my head and neck and be able to use both arms and hands in full motion to crochet or sew or what ever it is I am working on. Sometimes I take yoyo's with me.
And the topper! I LOVE APPLES and have apple trees. And my kitchen is apples!
I love it and now have my fingers crossed! Thanks for the chance to win a wonderful bag.

Oh I love that Tia Tote ~ way to design. Fellow doll quilter here, and I like a pretty big tote with a handle long enough to shoulder-carry, a bottom that lets it sit/stand and plenty of pockets!

So when you say you can leave as many comments as you want, does that mean that if I leave 100 comments, I'll be in the drawing 100 times because that's totally what I'll do if them's the rules. I've been drooling over this bag for some time now....

Anyway. I love the Molly and really covet the one you made my MIL. At some point, I want one for my own. I love my Stu, but he's HUGE so sometimes I can't carry him and I have to carry the Sharlene... but she's pretty worn. You'd be amazed and somewhat ashamed at what I can do to a bag. (Maybe I shouldnt' admit that?) I need to make some bags for myself because now that I've carried quilted bags, I just can't get myself to carry my dumb old regular purses anymore.

Horray for the awesome apple tree messenger!! Does the fact that my little family is well on it's way to consuming 27 pounds of apples in less than a week count for anything?

I seem to have screwed up and the first post didn't post, so I'm trying again because I love the adorable apple tree bag. I love all of your bags. Right now I think the Stu is my favorite but that might change once I get my purses from you. I think the Tia Tote is beautiful also. What sets your bags apart is their uniqueness. Awesome work!!

Is it cheesy if I say I like the Tia best?! Seriously, I love ALL of your designs, so it's whichever one I've seen last. ;) I LOVE how you put things together!

That just happens to be a favorite of mine.
OK, my favorite bag style is a messenger bag. I love having a long strap. Bags don't stay up on my shoulders. So I like to sing it across me.

I really like the Kristen Tote just because I think it's a classic and it's fun, plus I like the weighted closure. I could use this bag all year round..but of course there would have to be one for Summer, a different one for Fall, Winter and Spring.

Also, at this time in my life the messenger bag comes in handy. With all the stuff I carry around these days, I find that my purse or bag always slips off my shoulder. It gets to be a handful carrying an 8 month old along with a bag and a diaper bag. I also wonder what people think when they see me come into work in the morning. I must look like a bag lady. I've got my brief case on one shoulder and my breast pump on the other, plus I'm carrying my purse in one hand and my lunch bag in the other hand along with my car keys. I wish I can consolidate all this into on bag! One of these days my life will be normal again. :o)

So...the busy tree messenger bag has my name on it! I'm tall and have a long torso..plus I'm busy busy. It would be a great bag to put my wallet, car keys, a few work files, and my lunch in when I'm off to work. Then I can stick my bible in it when I head off to PWOC. Another day I can stick my parent-infant class workbook in it along with some of Ashley's toys when we head off to college.

I saw the busy tree tote when you posted about it previously and think it is just absolutely adorable. I don't bring my purse in to work, just a canvas bag with incidentals and my lunch and a book. This would be great to use! I know shipping to me would be more than $5 but I'd pay....no problem

Wow - you make such cute bags.
It's got to be anything big enough to carry round all my stuff for me. With a strap just long enough to go over my shoulder, but not so long it will trip me up. Oh, what's that? YES - a bag JUST LIKE THAT ONE!!!!!

Totally leaving a message cause I want to WIN! Is that the bag that when Syd saw it she said " her new....pewse!"? lol
I love the new bag, that is perfect for a mom who carries everything with her!

What a God given talent you have. You have to have a passion for what you do and it really shows. Each piece that you make starts with a blank canvas. You never really know exactly what it is going to look like until you finish. When you finish, Tia it is a masterpiece.

Your new bag is way cute. I love the mix of camo and fun fabric - camo enough to say serious business, and the color to be feminine. Nice touch.

I have never had to think about strap length - I'm 5'10". So a long strap bag would be a perfect fit for me - and my numerous knitting projects I take everywhere with me :)

Cheers!

Okay, I have to let you know that one of my favorite bags is one I got in Texas in a little town called Gruene. It's designed by a company called Two Bar West which was started up by two sisters. They make these awesome rustic looking western bags. Mine is a leather tote with a lone star in the middle filled with real spotted cow fur! I'm not from Texas but it makes me feel like a cowgirl! Plus it was the best souvenir to get from Texas.

Hi:

I love the details of your bags. First they all look amazingly well crafted with attention to all the small details. But also you tend to have special details- ones that are really unique

This bag is adorable!! I teach preschool and last year a child decided to make an ocean in my bag by pouring liquid watercolor into it!!"Ocean blue and ocean green" This would be a great replacement!! Each day I learn a new lesson from the children-AND on that day, the lesson I learned from this child was NEVER leave your bag behind the easel!!!
Thanks for posting your beautiful bags- you are very talented!

Love the messenger bag ... after looking at it for a few minutes, I finally saw the trees! HAHAH!! I've never carried a messenger bag before, but if its a Tia creation I'm loving it! Just as I love my Stu tote (diaper bag). I carry it even when I don't have Kaitlin with me. However, my favorite thing I've ever seen that you have made is Kaitlin's Hero Quilt! I can't wait to tell her about it someday!! YOU ROCK!! :)

What a great give-away! That messenger-bag looks like it would be perfect for carrying schoolstuff!! It is just too perfect not to be used every single day!
The purse you gave me for our swap is amazing. You have a talent for making something unique and beautiful :-) And still very useable and practical. Not as easy as it may sound!

Well.... OK. Here are some features I like in a bag. I like a bag that Sibe fluff doesn't stick to - or can be brushed off of. Tightly woven cottons are great; fuzzy fabs don't release the hair. :) And I like pockets, lots of pockets -- ones that are easy to get to! Other than that, I love small, medium, large, REALLY HUGE. :) It just depends on my mood and where I'm going.
How's that? :)
Cheers,
Karen

I love your new bag. They look great. I really like the size and that it has magnetic snaps. I am always bending over to pick up one of my girls are putting on their shoes and things always fall out of my bag. With the Tia Tote you will feel like all your stuff will stay safely inside. The size is nice. It fits nicely under your arm, but looks like there is still a lot of room for stuff. I just ordered my first bag from you so I can't wait to see it once you are done. As I was looking through your gallery I was amazed at all the unique and beautiful bags you have created. You do an outstanding job.

Tia,

I am a fairly new reader of your blog. I am truly inspired by all of your bags. They are amazing! And the idea of winning a tote is sooooo exciting! Where do I start about all that I love about the new Tia Bag? As far as I can tell this is the first bag named after you! So it must be really special. The metal snaps to help keep all of the goodies inside are wonderful. It is nice that is Army but not too Army. Great for traveling! And once again you have choosen beautiful fabrics. The messenger bag is very cute, and would be so much fun to win. I love the long strap! It would be great to wear the bag while running around with the kids. You know your bag isn't going anywhere when it is straped to you. It would be a great bag to have while waiting on my Stu Tote! Keep up the great work! Keep on sewing!

Hi Tia,
Okay I admit it. My name is Cheryl and I am addicted to your bags. There now I just have to find a support group! My favorite kind of bag is one that is big enough to hold all the little things your kids need. You know; Kleenex, bandages, the favorite blanket, sippy cup, favotite book or car. Mommy's bag of tricks. I am so excited to get my STU! Can't wait. Cheryl G

Hi Tia!
I have a couple of favorite bags. You do such wonderful work how can I possibly pick just one. My Stu is AWESOME. There is a ton of room for everything that I tote around for me & my kids. I get compliments on it all the time. A long time ago I read on your website that you put your Molly inside of your Stu and leave the Stu w/ the kids when you drop them off and then carry just the small super cute Molly w/ you. So that's what I do! :o) Also, my daughter has your school backpack. It is by far the cutest backpack in her school. She is so proud of the fact it is made out of daddy's uniform and pretty colors as she says. Anyway, LOVE your bags and quilts (I have a beautiful lap size quilt that my kids love to have tea parties on).
All the best!
