My final row for My Row 10 quilting group is in the mail!

I have a mosaic of all the rows I made for my Flickr quilting bee, but I can't get them to upload onto my blog. Oh well, I will give you a link in case you are curious to see all the rows I made and the rows and quilts the rest of us did.

This last row was for Sarah C in Canada, she wanted the back grounds to be blacks and whites and the focus fabrics were to be orange, purple, lavender, yellows. I wanted to make some more birds, so I made her a little flock of these fellows. I dig them so much that I made 2 of each block and kept a set for myself. Greedy, huh? Oh well. I kinda wish I would have done that with several others.

I really enjoy working with this group of women. Each is a very accomplished quilter so we don't have to be afraid to challenge one another with tricky new techniques. We each took a month and made our requests. When it was my month I wanted red crosses on creams and whites. They could toss in some aqua too. I am still hung up on this color combination. I can't seem to get enough of it. Anyway we work from our own stash of fabrics, so no sending out packets of fabric. Which is cool, but I have too much on my plate to do that. Anyway, I am thrilled with my crosses. I love each one and I can't wait to quilt it. I think I will work on it over Christmas break when I have some down time.

I did take a moment to stack my quilt yesterday. I was going to piece the back, but in the end I found my favorite 200 thread count muslin and it was the perfect size....almost like destiny!

OK, enjoy your weekend.

xo,
Tia
